ARTIST INFO
My name is Becca. I’m originally from Australia but I’ve lived in Hong Kong since I was 6 years old. I’ve been creating art for as long as I can remember. I studied art throughout my high school years and completed my BFA at Hampshire College in Massachusetts where I specialised in oil painting and printmaking. After college I continued to make art and also became an art teacher for several years. Over the last 10 years my work has shifted from conventional mediums to tattooing. I love that I can work with clients to create art that they can wear forever. The idea that my artwork can be worn like clothes and travel the world brings me great joy. My artwork is heavily inspired by tattoo history and culture but I am also influenced by some of my favourite artists like Basquiat, Cy Twombly, Keith Haring and Sol LeWitt. I love to experiment with different mediums but I think I will always be an oil painter at heart. I hope you can see the passion I have for art in my works.
BACKGROUND
In this piece I have juxtaposed images of a girl with the flowers so readily associated with feminine form. We are always told as young girls that one day we will “blossom” into women – just like a flower. Well, my blossoming was not so glorious and neither is the expression of the girl in this artwork.

CARE INSTRUCTIONS
Please do not use detergents that contain fabric brightening agents.Please do not tumble dry, the shirt will shrink, line-dry the shirt while keeping its original form to prevent wrinkles.
Wash separately from other garments. The dye may bleed into the water and transfer to other clothes. Do not use too much detergent or softener.
If the seam becomes distorted, iron the garments to help the shirt keep its original form. To protect the garments, put a piece of cloth between the garment and iron.
The print will start wearing off through repeated wash.
